Paris in the Fall

I wrote this post the day before the horrific events took place in Paris. I love this city so much and am praying for supernatural peace for everyone suffering right now. 

Nathan and I spent last November and October in Paris. It is safe to say it is our favorite city in the world. I am constantly scheming reasons and ways to get back over there! We had the best food and stayed in the most magnificent hotels.

St. Tropez

St. Tropez is every bit dreamy as it is portrayed to be. The streets and intricacies at every corner feel magical and almost cartoon like. With perfectly draped bougainvillea and a soundtrack of crashing waves you just know you are somewhere special. Nathan and I love a funky hotel that matches in just enough luxury and quirky charm. We found that at Hotel Ermitage,  which was perfect. The hip, young desk guy, Anton, was honest and happy to talk about the town and led us to amazing coffee shops and food spots. The hotel boasted the most beautiful views and from the outside appeared to be some elite mansion fit for the 50's. I absolutely adore this hotel.  

We ate some of the best Italian food of my life at this charming little restaurant that brought us back three days in a row. St. Tropez holds a special place in my heart and Nathan and I have made a promise that we will most defiantly be back.

White Sands National Monument, New Mexico

White Sands is one of the most beautiful places I have seen in my entire life! Being there feels like you left reality and appeared in a dream.

St. Martin

Nathan and I want to travel the world. It is our deepest desire to explore all the crevices of this planet, taste the best food, see the most breathtaking sites, and meet the most interesting people. It is simply what my soul aches for!

Nathan and I have done Europe twice, so we wanted to taste something different, and with limited time off from work, we decided to try the Caribbean!  St. Martin in the French West Indies seemed perfect for us because it is supposedly a foodies paradise along with the most breathtaking scenery and French Caribe vibe. Our trip was wonderful. We hiked to a secluded beach everyday called Happy Bay. We walked through the most gorgeous terrain filled with iguanas, beautiful birds and cows which eventually spit us out to the most picturesque beach line with palms, sea grapes, and the bluest water you could imagine. We swam and basked in the sun for hours only to return home each night sun kissed and covered in white sand that seemed impossible to get off our bodies.  We rented a car and found the most beautiful baths of sea water filled with pink rocks and crashing waves. We spent the evenings watching the sunset with our toes in the crashing waves. It was magical. I would love to visit St. Martin again very soon. Nathan put it perfectly: "The Caribbean is its own beast," meaning you cant compare its beauty to Hawaii or other tropical places because it stands alone in its majesty.
